Biography

As a former Producer with The Walt Disney Company, Interactive Division, Chris is well versed in digital media production. Producing children's interactive educational CD-ROMs allowed Chris to experience the large budget production cycles that accompany Disney products. This experience included managing staff and sub-contractors and million dollar project budgets.

The Disney experience informs his production quality expectations, ensuring that Nine Patch Media DVDs are broadcast quality.

In addition, Chris holds degrees in Education and Psychology, allowing him to work with the Nine Patch instructors in planning their DVDs. Educational outcomes and learning objectives are just as important as the beautiful colours he captures on video. A diploma in Applied Information Technology in the early '80s, from Capilano College, put Chris in the forefront of the digital media revolution - with ongoing involvement in developing web-based distance education courses for private sector and government.

Chris is a partner in another instructional DVD company: Learn Roots Music. With a focus on roots music instruction, Learn Roots Music has 35 titles distributed internationally with the Mel Bay company.

An avid musician, Chris writes and records the musical scores for Nine Patch DVD productions.
